CMYK Printing
Technique
The four-color and six-color printing procedures are two less popular but nonetheless efficient ways to print t-shirts. Traditionally, the procedure entails taking three pictures of the same scene with the red, green, and blue primary color filters. Three pictures are created as a result, each made entirely of a different primary hue. The photos are then turned into negatives; the red negative produces a cyan image, the green negative a magenta image, and the blue negative a yellow negative. The original picture is then created by combining these three negatives, practically from scratch. Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK- “B” is used to designate the hue blue) make up a total of four colors because there isn’t a true dark element. In certain instances, green and orange are added to the image to add more balance to the darker areas, creating a six-color print.
Choosing Your Printing Process
CMYK printing, which is extensively utilized in film development, works well for printing photos on shirts. CMYK printing is available through our firm, but only upon request due to the greater cost. Please specify that you want your shirt to be printed using the CMYK technique in the extra information area when placing your purchase. However, bear in mind that other printing choices, such as digital printing or screen printing, may be more appropriate depending on the complexity of the picture. Feel free to get in touch with us if you have any queries regarding which printing procedure would work best for your design; we will always choose the best choice for your particular order. Since we currently have very competitive pricing, the additional charge for CMYK printing shouldn’t have a big influence on the price of your order.
